Patrick J. Durkin - In memoriam

https://secure.emochila.com/swserve/siteAssets/site12741/images/FTS_logo_sm.pngMr. Durkin brings nearly 25 years of experience in banking and government to Barclays with an extensive amount of time spent as strategic advisor on US and international government financial policy. He worked at Credit Suisse where he was a Managing Director in Investment Banking and Asset Management and the Federal Finance Group, which focused on government advisory, privatization and financing strategies in the US and internationally. Prior to that, he was Head of International and Emerging Markets Banking at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, responsible for corporate and government finance. Prior to joining Barclays, he was a partner at J Fitzgibbons, a private equity and investment firm.

He served as the Director of Policy for John McCain's 2008 Presidential Campaign. He was a Special Assistant in the Office of the Secretary of the US Treasury Department during the Reagan Administration, and served as a Legislative Director in the US House of Representatives. He served on the Executive Committee of the Presidential Commission on the 1987 Market Crash (Brady Commission) and the SEC Competitive Markets Task Force, and the Board of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC).

He is a Member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Council on Excellence in Government. He serves on the boards of the Atlantic Council, American Red Cross of New York, Cancer Research Institute and the College for Every Student Foundation. He is a graduate of Dartmouth's Tuck School of Business (MBA) and Middlebury College (BA).
